What a day is about all I can say!

$100K Stretch Goal Unlocked

Thanks to your strong support we're pleased to announce that we've unlocked a Grey Fox-exclusive solo campaign for Run Fight or Die: Reloaded!

We've previously discussed in some detail how this was developed and what it will entail. For those who missed it or are just now joining us, there's a developer diary posted here.

This is something we know a lot of you were excited about and we're excited to include it in the game. 

Extra Die Question

A few backers were asking in the comments about extra die sets now that we've unlocked the $90K event die. While not depicted at the moment, those extra dice sets will include an extra event die so if that's something you were looking at, you'll be getting even more with the add-on.

Hey there Run Fight or Die: Reloaded backers!

Don't you just love the home stretch of a campaign? We certainly do and you should too after the big surge of support we just saw that unlocked a big stretch goal.

$90K Stretch Goal Unlocked

Our lucky 13th stretch goal has now been unlocked. This is a Grey Fox-exclusive event die that changes the way you play slightly, should you choose to use it. At the start of your turn, you'll roll the die and something good or bad (usually bad) will happen that affects that turn.

Those who've played the original game will be familiar with this. We're still working on what the exact results will do in Reloaded and will pass on that info when he have it ready. As mentioned in previous updates, this is a totally optional way to play RFOD: Reloaded, so those worried about the game not being streamlined enough should rest easy.

Hey there Run Fight or Die Reloaded backers!

It's been a good weekend so far! We've unlocked yet another stretch goal and we're officially in the final 3 days of this campaign and excited about the final push!

A Recap

Before we get into the latest accomplishment.... a quick recap for all of the new backers joining us and a reminder for those who've been here all along.

So far through this campaign, backers have unlocked 12 stretch goals including:

- Three additional Characters: The Soccer Mom, The Businessman and The Wanderer

- Four additional Followers: Punk Brawler, Panicked Doctor, Nervous Thief, Prepared Survivalist

- Two additional Locations: The Cabin in the Woods and Crystal Lake

- Two additional Loot cards: Fireworks and the Lawnmower

- Component upgrades including larger dice, thicker tiles and tokens and spot UV for the game box

That's a heck of a lot of stuff in addition to the zombie mutant mini that's a Grey Fox-exclusive for backers!

What's Next

There are two very special stretch goals up ahead that we know fans of the game will be very excited to get.

At $90K, we'll be adding a Grey Fox-exclusive Event Die promo, which gives you another twist that adds a little more chaos and thematic flavor to games of Run Fight or Die: Reloaded for those seeking it.

At $100K, we'll be unlocking a Grey Fox-exclusive solo campaign. It's a tense and exciting mode that we provided more details about in our previous update. (Please keep in mind, that a separate solo mode is already being included in the game no matter what. This solo campaign is just an extra bonus that requires additional components.)

Hey Run Fight or Die: Reloaded backers!

As we've teased in the comments, we've got a big update full of a lot of exciting news to share with you. Because it's a long one, here's your TL:DR:

- We unlocked another stretch goal!

- We're announcing a big $100K stretch goal to include a solo campaign for backers.

- We've added a total of three additional stretch goals in the nearer term and longer term.

Alright, let's get to it!

$80K Stretch Goal Unlocked

 In the words of the immortal Freddie Mercury.... another one bites the dust!

This is the 11th stretch goal and it adds two Grey Fox-exclusive followers you'll be trying to avoid biting the dust themselves if you can help it. Congratulations for unlocking the Prepared Survivalist and Nervous Thief!

 $100K Stretch Goal - Solo Campaign!

This is a stretch goal we're very very excited to share. This game already has a solo mode, but if this campaign can crack the six figure mark, we'll be including a solo campaign as well as a Grey Fox exclusive!

It's something our head of game development Josh has been hard at work on, something he's even been dreaming about. We're so pleased with what's come out of that work. He's posted a development diary on BGG, but here's an edited excerpt that lays out the points:

Just as in the original Solo Campaign, I’ve kept the basic arc and premise where solo players begin the game with a series of traits (hindrances upon the way they face the apocalypse based on personal trauma) that they have the opportunity to overcome as they fight their way through the zombie horde. The game has an arc where you begin shortly after the beginning of the apocalypse and work your way through a series of increasingly difficult mini-games, trying to build up a stash of loot and followers to take into battle with you in a final showdown against the mutant zombie.

Fans of the original solo campaign will note one major difference which is that part of the development involved creating a spatial component so that players will now have to actively traverse a route from one destination to the next while keeping one step ahead of the ever growing ranks of the undead. 

The solo campaign is still a work in progress and effects level development is ongoing but after spending the last week working on adapting the original version I am excited both about what this brings to the campaign and about the ways the spatial component has come together. I am confident that players interested in solo mode will find this an engaging way to play the game.

On a practical front, this solo campaign as planned will come with some extra components... a deck of trait, upgrade and action cards as well as punchboard with destination tiles and a marker for tracking your position on the "map".

Hopefully this is a pretty big incentive to get the word out there in the final days!

But Wait, There's More!

We've also added three additional stretch goals beyond the big ticket item at $100K.

These include:

- A new $85K goal for spot UV on the box

- A new $110K goal for a new exclusive loot card... the Barricade

- A new $115K goal for a new exclusive loot card... the Flashlight

These may be the final stretch goals, but who knows what happens when we get into the final 48 hours of a campaign like this.
