A Look at the Event Die - Non-Zombie Minis
about 5 years ago – Mon, Mar 25, 2019 at 08:55:17 PM

Hey Run Fight or Die: Reloaded backers,

The wait is still difficult, but we have received a positive sign things are underway at the factory. Although this game is a whole new experience, your first glance is going to be at something very familiar.

Photo From The Factory

This is a look at the all-new Event Die, one of the awesome stretch goals you unlocked during the campaign itself! For those new to the game, this is a die that you roll before you roll your action dice, applying either a good or bad effect before you take your turn.  You might notice some all new icons on there.... The effects are also all new. Here's how they translate into the new game:

We know this is something a lot of folks who played the earlier editions of this game wanted back in some form and we hope you're excited to see it carried forward in a new way!

More Minis?

If you're into cool minis like the zombies we showed off on this campaign, we've got a Kickstarter campaign we recently launched that might be right up your alley!

Tsukuyumi: Full Moon Down is an area control game featuring asymmetric factions. It's set in an imagined future Earth after the Moon came crashing down into the surface, unleashing a dragon god trapped inside. The game's already earned strong reviews, getting an 8.4 on BGG right now. It was crowned the Gamer's Voice Award winner at SXSW this year.

You can learn more here.

That's all for now! We'll be bringing you many more updates as production moves along including some more pictures as we have them available.

Thanks for the support!

Production Timeline Update
about 5 years ago – Wed, Mar 06, 2019 at 12:27:49 AM

Hey Run Fight or Die: Reloaded backers,

A quick update for you as we've gotten a significant update on the manufacturing timeline.

Although we attempted to have the printer start work on the zombie mini's ahead of Chinese New Year, we still ended up getting caught in what is a major manufacturing holiday. As a result, the anticipated date for production to wrap on Run Fight or Die: Reloaded from the factory is towards the end of April.

Add in the time needed to ship the game overseas (typically 4-5 weeks) and fulfill it (another couple of weeks depending) and it's fairly clear that the April 2019 anticipated delivery date will not be hit. It's more likely we'll have Kickstarter fulfillment underway by June assuming things follow their typical deadlines. Obviously we're bummed out by that delay and we're sure you are too.

However, we're also pretty sure that you'd rather have an excellent game that's a bit late than a just okay one that's right on time. We hope that the additional development work and love put into both the main game and the solo campaign will be easy to see once copies are in backers' hands.

If there's any additional updates, we'll  be sure to keep you posted here first.

Thanks for your patience in the meantime and all the best.

Introducing.... The Solo Campaign!
about 5 years ago – Thu, Feb 07, 2019 at 11:28:55 PM

Hey there Run Fight or Die: Reloaded backers,

During the campaign, one of the big stretch goals that was hit was for a solo campaign, something a lot of you expressed interest in.

Today, we're happy to share many many more details about the solo campaign as part of sharing the near-final rulebook for the game.

That rulebook is posted here at this link. You can find the solo campaign starting on page 10. It actually takes up more space than the base game rules themselves!

That section references "Additional game materials needed to play the solo campaign available at greyfoxgames.com"... that applies to the retail release, not backers. Backers will have the solo campaign materials already included.

The solo campaign plays out over four missions:  Build a Crew, Gear Up, Into the Storm and Final Showdown. There are four modes of difficulty: Hard, Harder, Nightmare and Impossible.

Over the course of those four missions, your character will have to overcome traumas while gaining the experience, loot and followers needed to win a final confrontation with the mutant zombie boss.

If you want more details, they're available in those attached rules. If you're very very spoiler-averse, I'd advise steering clear, but for those curious, this is a nice inside look at how the solo campaign plays.

All the best,

Pledge Manager Now Closed
about 5 years ago – Fri, Feb 01, 2019 at 01:28:33 AM

Hey RFoD: Reloaded backers,

Hope you're a lot warmer than we are here in St. Louis! We're trying to keep from freezing while wrapping up another Kickstarter campaign, but had an update for you on this one primarily dealing with the pledge manager.

Lockdown

As per our last update, now that the game has been sent to the printer for manufacturing, we have now closed down the pledge manager to get our manufacturing numbers more finalized.

As a result, those surveys that were filled out have been locked and any add-ons have now been charged. There were a few dozen whose cards didn't go through. BackerKit will have sent you an email to update your payment information. If you didn't have add-ons or received the successfully charged email, then everything should be fine.

Address Changes

This lockdown only affects adding or subtracting from your order. It does not affect address changes. If you've moved or need to change your shipping address, you can still do so by logging back into your BackerKit and changing it. If you need help with that, shoot us a message here on Kickstarter or send us an email to [email protected].

Project Status

We recently approved digital proofs with the manufacturer. Rulebook edits are still underway, so once Chinese New Year wraps up (a two week holiday in China), production should get going in earnest. We have no updates for you on timeline at this stage beyond what was laid out in the previous update.

Thanks for the support. In the coming months we'll have more specific updates on production and fulfillment as we ramp up towards getting the game into your hands.

Until then, we hope you're well!

Run Fight or Die: Reloaded to the Printer - Sneak Peek - Estimated Timeline - Pledge Manager Lockdown Date
over 5 years ago – Thu, Jan 17, 2019 at 12:30:42 AM

Hey Run Fight or Die: Reloaded backers!

We have some news to share with you....

Files Sent!

We held a final review session of components last night and as of today, Run Fight or Die: Reloaded's files have been sent to the printer. All of the punchboards, cards and everything else that makes a game is now good to go.

Molds were sent previously and are being made and modified currently.

The only thing we're still working on in-house is the rulebook, which we're still doing final text edits on. That can be sent midway through the printing process without delaying production.

This is a huge step as it allows us to move ahead with manufacturing and get you a better sense of when the game can be delivered (more on that later).

Sneak Peek

Here are a handful of the print files to show you what everything's looking like.

That last item is Mission 1 from the Solo Campaign. We'll be sharing more details on the solo campaign once the rulebook is finalized as I know that's something a lot of you were very excited for.

Estimated Timeline

We are still getting firmer dates from the manufacturer themselves, but based on past projects and what is likely to happen with this one, here's where things stand at this time...

We tend to estimate 60 days for production to wrap up. Chinese New Year will delay this an additional two weeks, putting our estimated production time at around 75 days from now. Add an estimated 30 days for shipment and that puts the time to get it in our hands in late April.

There's an outside chance we can get this delivered in line with our April 2019 timeline in the US... however, that's with the most optimistic of thoughts. There are several factors that could result in this being delayed from here. As we have a better sense of the exact timing, we'll be keeping you updated here.

Pledge Manager Lockdown

Now that we have files submitted and a timeline in place, we need to get a better sense of product counts.

To that effect, we are locking down the pledge manager for this campaign on January 31st. This is also the date we'll be charging for any add-ons or additional games.

If you have not already, please go in and complete the pledge manager, letting us know where to ship your game and ensuring payment information is correct. If, for whatever reason you didn't receive your BackerKit link, please send us an email at [email protected] with a request and we'll get back to you.

If you do not complete your pledge manager ahead of this date, there is a chance your shipment will be delayed or, especially internationally, you would need to pay additional shipping costs.

Run Fight or Aliens

While all of this is going on, we have yet another game on Kickstarter. If you love two-player games, deckbuilding and battling for Earth, we hope you'll give War of the Worlds: The New Wave a look. The campaign is live here.

That's it for now! Thank you so much for your support as we work to bring this game to life!
