Quick US/Canada Shipping Update - Address Lockdown Imminent
almost 5 years ago – Fri, Jun 21, 2019 at 02:49:54 AM

Hey there Run Fight or Die: Reloaded backers,

Except for the last part of the update, this is primarily an update for US/Canada backers as well as those who are listed in "Everywhere Else" shipping.

We have been informed that our copies of Run Fight or Die: Reloaded are here in St. Louis at the railyard. That's good news because it means that the games will be delivered to our warehouse either today or tomorrow.

Simultaneously, we've been informed that the sticker sets are currently being shipped from the printer in China. We anticipate receiving those here early next week.

Once all of those items have arrived, they will be heading out the door to US/Canada backers ASAP. Here's how that will happen.

US Backers

US backers will have their games shipped either from our warehouse here in St. Louis or from EasyPost's warehouse. Whether your game is coming from us or our fulfillment partner depends on if you added on anything that wasn't tied to Run Fight or Die: Reloaded (things like copies of Champions of Midgard or Deception: Murder in Hong Kong). Orders with those kinds of add-ons will be shipped from St. Louis while everything else will be heading out the door via EasyPost.

For our warehouse, the hope would be to get all of the games out the door by the end of this month to early next month. These orders are shipped via FedEx SmartPost, which takes, on average, about four business days within the US.

Canada Backers

Once we have the necessary stickers, our Canadian orders will be headed to D6 Fulfillment to get shipped . When we have word that they've received the games, we'll be giving you a better update on timelines and shipping methods.

"Everywhere Else" Backers

All of these orders will be shipped out from our warehouse in St. Louis. We use FedEx International Mail Service on these, which generally takes between 2-5 weeks.

All Backers - Address Lockdown

Because of how close we are to being able to ship copies, we're giving out the final notice for address changes. If you've moved, you have until June 24th at 11 AM CST to make any changes. After that, addresses will be locked in and provided to our warehouse team and fulfillment partners. If you're having difficulty doing that, please email [email protected] for assistance.

Thanks,

Stickers, Boards & More - Clearing Some Things Up
almost 5 years ago – Tue, Jun 11, 2019 at 03:11:14 AM

Hey Run Fight or Die: Reloaded backers,

We saw the response to our last update and wanted to answer some questions, discuss both the short-term and long-term implications of the misprint issue, and clear up any lingering confusion.

About the Stickers

The stickers some backers noticed on the Game Boy Geek review video or on demo copies are ones we did in-house and sent out.

The final versions that are being printed are being done by the same manufacturer using the same color specs. The background is taken from the board itself, so that should blend in and, while it's impossible to get a 100% perfect color match, these should be as close as close can be.

We would ask those concerned about these to wait and see the final solution for themselves.

Please note that both retail copies and kickstarter copies will come with the stickers to correct the misprint for this edition.  There will be no edition in this print run that comes with the non-sticker boards.

If there is a second print run, those would come with corrected boards already, however, in the hyper-competitive tabletop gaming space, there is no guarantee that Run, Fight, or Die: Reloaded will get a second printing.

Will Replacement Boards Be Available in the Future?

Working with the same manufacturer, we will be getting some replacement boards printed up. That will likely take a month or two to make and another month or so to ship to us.

We believe the stickers will be a close enough match that you will find them barely noticeable and ask that you to wait to receive your copy and try them out first before passing judgment.

That being said, if you are not satisfied with the stickers after trying them out, you will be able to get replacement board from us in a few months time in one of two different ways:

1) At all conventions we attend after we've received the boards, we will have them available for free to interested backers.

2) For those unable to attend conventions, we will have the boards available on our website for one cent ($.01) + $3 shipping in the US or $7 shipping anywhere else.

Again, we're very sorry this wasn't caught before printing.

If you have any specific concerns, the best way to reach us is by emailing us directly at [email protected].

Thanks,

Alex

First Review - Shipping Update - A Sticker-y Situation
almost 5 years ago – Fri, Jun 07, 2019 at 01:26:15 AM

Hey Run Fight or Die: Reloaded backers,

An absolutely massive update for you on several fronts, with some good news, some bad news and just some other news, so let's get right to it.

First Review

Our first review for the game is back from Dan King, the Game Boy Geek! He did both the full version you see above and an "Allegro" version as well. It's yet another chance to see game components firsthand!

Shipping Updates

All three of the major shipments for Run Fight or Die: Reloaded are on the water heading to their destinations.

The US/Canada shipment bound for our warehouse here is due to arrive on June 18th. In our experience, this date is usually a week optimistic on average. From that point, we still need to get orders turned around for fulfillment to individual backers.

The EU/UK shipment headed for Fulfillment Europe's warehouse is due to hit the port on July 6th. From there, there's usually customs clearance issues to be worked out before the games can make their way to the fulfillment partner. In our experience though, once they receive the games they are lightning fast about getting them turned around and out the door.

The Australia/NZ shipment headed to VR Distribution is due to hit the port on June 26th. This is another one where customs clearance can delay things actually arriving to VR by a week or so.

Our Chinese fulfillment partner will start sending out orders in select countries in that region from a set of games sent during

If you're not located in any of these regions/countries, your orders will be handled directly from our warehouse here in St. Louis.

We're definitely getting a lot closer to getting these games in everyone's hands! Thanks again for your patience.

Printing Issue

This is not a fun piece of news...

During our demos at Geekway to the West a couple of weeks ago, we discovered an issue on the first production copy we received.

The issue centers around the zombie boards that come included with the game. Here's the ones that are printed.

Here's what they should look like.

If you can spot the difference right away, a big congratulations to you, because the change itself, while small, is very important to the gameplay of Run Fight or Die: Reloaded.

For those of you who didn't spot the difference, the zones should be 3, 2 and then 1, with Zone 1 being the closest to you. This is referenced by loot cards and player abilities as well as the rules.

It should've been fixed and properly printed. It was not. It is nobody else's fault but ours.

Unfortunately, we discovered this issue after the games were already on the water, so it's left us in a bit of a tricky place.

After consulting with the printer, we've come up with the best solution we can that avoids delaying the game's release while getting backers (and eventual buyers at retail a properly playable game).

Bundled in the shipping box (not the game box) with each Kickstarter copy will be a sticker set matching the board that will go over the top of the board. There are enough included to sticker 5-6 player expansion boards as well as zombie boards.

It will look like this:

As they will be inside of the box packaging, please carefully check your packing materials when you receive the package. If you don't end up receiving them, we'll get you an email address to contact to get a fresh set sent your way. These stickers are made to match the current player boards so it should not have a huge impact on folks, but we also understand this is an annoyance for sure.

We're very sorry about the issue and we hope it will end up being a minor blip in your experience with the game.

Thanks and all the best,

Production and Shipping Update - Origins
almost 5 years ago – Wed, May 08, 2019 at 12:21:13 AM

Hey Run Fight or Die: Reloaded backers!

Some significant updates on the production front to let you know about.

Production

The manufacturer in China has informed us that the print run is now officially complete for Run Fight or Die: Reloaded, meaning all Kickstarter and retail editions are good to go.

We didn't just have words though.... A couple of those copies were also sent along to our headquarters here in St. Louis.

These copies will be getting professionally photographed and heading out to some key reviewers.

Check out some of the backstories!
Check out some of the backstories!

It's awfully rewarding seeing all of that hard work come to life in physical form... and we couldn't have done it without your help.

Shipping

With the print run now complete, we have to get the games shipped to our various fulfillment locations around the world. Our logistics team is in the process of finalizing those arrangements. It will still likely be a week or two before the games are on boats headed to the US, Germany and Australia (the games going to China for fulfillment don't require a sea voyage).

Once they're on the water, it's usually about a month to five weeks before they arrive to their fulfillment centers, with some additional time from there to get things turned around and out the door to individual backers.

Estimates will be easier to provide once the games themselves are on the water.

Origins/Geekway Plans

In the meantime, there are a couple of conventions that will be coming up.

Conventions are very important to us in terms of selling our games and letting people know how awesome they are. However, we also know that backers will tend to get aggravated if others have an option to buy a copy of the game they helped bring to life before they've even received their copies.

We had the option of airshipping in copies of the game to sell at Origins, but because that convention will happen likely at least a couple of weeks before backers start receiving their copies, we've opted not to. We plan on showing off the game on camera to some media content creators and possibly demoing the game at the booth, but it will not be for sale. For curious backers, we'll try and have a retail copy on hand to show off.

That will also be the case at Geekway to the West in a couple of weeks. Possible demos, but no sales of Run Fight or Die Reloaded.

Other Odds and Ends

We want to thank you again not just for your support in creating this game, but also in your patience. We never like missing estimated shipping dates, but it's often a result of ensuring the game is as good as we can possibly make it both from a production standpoint and a gameplay standpoint.

If you still need to change your address, you have time to do so. Simply log into BackerKit and update it, or send us an email to [email protected] and we'll help you out. As we get closer to shipping, we'll let you know what the last possible date to make those changes is.

All the best,

April Production Update
about 5 years ago – Tue, Apr 23, 2019 at 08:00:31 PM

Hey there Run Fight or Die: Reloaded backers,

Based on earlier production timelines, the latest info we had was that the game should be completed by next week. We don't have any updates on that one way or another at this stage. We do, however, have some more photos of the game in production.

Here's a look inside a base game box without the zombie minis.

You can see the normal dice alongside the promo event die in the dice tray as well as some of the player boards and cards as well as plenty of room for those minis to fill the box.

When the manufacturing process is complete, we'll be sure to let you know what kind of shipping timeline we're looking at.

Thanks for your support!
